Skye Nicolson: Shines In America
The Australian Skye Nicolson talked about making a statement on her professional debut, consider that done.
There are ways to make that statement, Nicolson did it by the sheer class of her work.
Nicolson defeated the previously unbeaten
Jessica Juarez by scores of 60-54, 60-54 & 59-55, although it is difficult to imagine which round Nicolson lost in the 6 round contest such was her dominance.
Boxing from her usual southpaw stance, Nicolson dominated throughout, and has the look of a real prospect. She won with ease but was nevertheless seriously impressive in doing so.
There will be tougher tests to follow but Nicolson looks the real deal. Even this early in her career, she looks more than capable of winning a world title. And she probably won’t stop at one.
