John O’Donnell Buzzing for Overdue Return
Former Commonwealth and English champion John O’Donnell has the buzz back once again as he prepares for his long-awaited comeback at York Hall tonight.
O’Donnell (32-2) has his first fight in over two years when he competes on a packed #MTKFightNight show live on IFL TV this evening, and he’s looking forward to entering this new stage of his career.
O’Donnell said: “I’ve really missed all of this and I love the buzz about it so it’s good to be back. This is the last crack of the whip for me and the last chapter of my career and it’s going to be the best one yet.
“I’ve got a new lease of life and have a great team around me with MTK Global, and it all reminds me of when I first went professional all those years ago. I can’t wait to get back in there tonight and then put a few wins together.
“I’m coming for all of the titles this year. My eyes are firmly on the British title, and when I get a few fights under my belt everyone is going to know that I’m hunting them down.
“I’m looking forward to fighting at York Hall and I’ve had a lot of fights there as a professional and amateur. The atmosphere is second to none, and it’s great to box on a brilliant platform like iFL TV too.”
The show at York Hall live on iFL TV features Siar Ozgul challenging Samuel Antwi for the Southern Area title, plus Chantelle Cameron, Viktor Kotochigov, Dan Azeez, Michael Elliott any many more.
