Top Tier Fight: Shauna Browne vs. Jade Burden Set For October

Johnny Clark has delivered another fight of immense intrigue for his final Top Tier show of the year. Shauna Browne and the undefeated Jade Burden will fight at the York Hall on October 25th at the iconic York Hall in London. The WBA Gold and IBF International lightweight titles will be on the line.

Browne (8-1) could be a real dark horse in her division. The 32-year-old has only one defeat on her nine-fight resume, and that was to the current IBF world champion Elif Nur Turhan. Browne, who has a reputation as a big puncher herself, was stopped inside a round by Turhan last year. But Browne has rebounded with three wins on the bounce, including a third-round stoppage victory on her Top Tier debut earlier this month against Lilia Cherifi. Browne also holds a win over Taylah Gentzen. If Browne keeps her momentum going into 2027, it’s not that hard to envisage her fighting for a world title within the next twelve months.

Burden (5-0) comes into the biggest fight of her career to date undefeated in five fights. Based in the Isle of Man, the 34-year-old is coming off a solid stoppage victory over the decent Katie Smith. Burden stopped her in six rounds, and looks ready for the step up in class. The fight represents a massive opportunity for Burden. In truth, it’s one of those fights where she has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Harli Whitwell is widely expected to end her extended ring hiatus due to knee surgery on the same card. The undefeated Whitwell will return at lightweight. Her sister, Shona Whitwell, is likely to join her on what promises to be another excellent night of Top Tier action.
