Molly McCann vs. Sylwia Doligala Set For Croke Park
It’s a dream scenario for both Molly McCann and Sylwia Doligala. They will play a supporting role in the Katie Taylor farewell at Croke Park in Dublin September 5th. They have been handed the golden ticket. But it is a fight of the utmost importance for McCann and Doligala.

McCann (4-0) left her mixed martial arts career and returned to boxing last year. The 36-year-old has now advanced to 4-0 and has done very little wrong in those four fights. In April, McCann had a hometown gig and stepped up to eight rounds to outpoint Ashleigh Johnson. The Liverpool fan favourite was made to work by the ever-advancing Johnson. But McCann impressed on home soil taking a well deserved 78-74 points decision. Sylwia Doligala is another little step up for the former UFC star. McCann has talked about potentially fighting for a British title later this year. A win in September moves her a little closer to that.
Doligala (8-2-2) lost on her pro debut in 2019, but has recovered to build a solid looking resume since that uninspiring start. A wafer-thin points defeat over ten rounds to Charlotte Powell in a fight for the Central Area super-flyweight title last year is the only defeat on her record. Doligala got revenge over Powell in an immediate rematch and is now riding a three-fight win streak. In March, the 31-year-old beat Sydney Chambers over six rounds. The fight with Molly McCann represents an opportunity to drastically change the trajectory of her career.
