Tyler Denny Ready To Shine On Fightzone

Tyler Denny is ready to shine on the big stage this weekend as he looks to put over 18 months of inactivity behind him.

The likeable Black Country boxer takes on undefeated Derrick Osaze at Sheffield Arena on Friday evening in the latest offering from Fightzone.

It’s a fight the 29 year-old is confident of winning as makes his ring return after a longer-than-expected absence.

“The Covid situation has been extremely frustrating in terms of inactivity,” Denny told bcb-promotions.com. “A few opportunities seemed to pop up but nothing ever came off but the positive side is I have stayed in the gym training.

“It’s been 18 months since my last fight against Udofia , at first I was annoyed about not getting the decision I believe I deserved but times a healer and now I just look back at it as a good fight but keep the pain in my head about losing to strive me on.”

Surrounded by a large, quality stable has meant Denny has been able to training with a plethora of Champions including his good friends WBO number One Challenger, Zach Parker, and recently crowned British and Commonwealth Champion, Lennox Clarke.

He believes that quality of sparring, and being spurred on by a champions mentality in the gym, will stand him in good stead.

“This camp been completely different really,” he explained. “Although I have been at BCB HQ properly for over a year now I’ve never had a fight with Errol in my corner.

“The sparring has been class. I have been in the gym whilst Lennox Clarke had his camp, and Zach Parker, so I’ve been doing loads of rounds with them.

“I’ve worked with Ricky Summers too who is a class act and I recently went sparring with former world champion Argenis Mendez which was a great experience too.”

Denny, who turns 30 next month, is targeting a victory over Osaze as he looks to push himself back in to the British middleweight mix and impress on his Fightzone debut.

“I don’t really look too much at Osaze,” he added. “I just focus on myself but I know he’s had some wins in the Ultimate Boxxer and that he’s undefeated . I believe in myself though and believe in my team so I don’t watch other fighters much.

“I’m buzzing to be finally back though and especially live on Fightzone. I’ve been watching the last few weekends and the production is up there with any channel on the market.

“I’ve never felt so good, never been so determined and all I can see is me winning and I can’t wait for it!”
