Unbeaten Azeez to Return at York Hall

Unbeaten light-heavyweight Dan Azeez will return to action on #MTKFightNight’s huge event at York Hall on November 9 – live on ESPN+ in the United States in association with Top Rank and on iFL TV worldwide.

Azeez (9-0, 6 KOs) was extremely impressive in his last contest, defeating Charlie Duffield by stoppage to win the vacant Southern Area light-heavyweight title at the O2 Arena.

The hard-hitting star now looks to build on that momentum when he fights at York Hall, and he’s excited to display his talents once again.

Azeez said: “I’m very pleased to be back. It’s always nice to box at the iconic York Hall and it’s easy for local support to get to.Fans can expect to be entertained in this fight.

“I was happy with the win in my last fight and there’s always things I can work on, but in saying that it was a result both me and my team expected. Charlie is a good tough fighter and all due respect to him but I believe I’m above that level and I showed it on the night.

“It’s great to be back on ESPN+ in America again too, as the more people that know about you the better for your profile.”

Already confirmed for the card is world-ranked welterweight Michael McKinson taking another step up against WBO world no. 6 Luis Alberto Veron, Liam Walsh taking on Maxi Hughes for the WBO European lightweight title, while WBC world lightweight title mandatory challenger Chantelle Cameron takes another step towards a showdown with Katie Taylor.

Further fights and fighters will be confirmed in due course.
