Djamil Chan Predicts KO of Leonardo Mafra at BRAVE 25: ‘He’s going to sleep’

Dutch striker Djamil Chan is set to fight in the third country for his third BRAVE Combat Federation appearance. He will take on Leonardo “Macarrão” Mafra in a much-anticipated Super Lightweight bout at BRAVE 25, which takes place in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on August 30th. “Dynamite” is thankful for the opportunity to represent his country across the world due to BRAVE CF’s international reach.

Chan has already fought in Morocco and Bahrain, and will now have the chance to showcase his talents in the spiritual home of mixed martial arts, in Brazil. Djamil is “over the moon” at the prospect of fighting abroad once again.

“I mean, BRAVE CF has sent me all around the world, and I’m very thankful for that. They have given me the chance to represent not just myself or my family, but my country. I went to Morocco and Bahrain to represent Holland, and now I’ll be going to Brazil to do the same. So I’m very proud to be able to represent my country at the highest level”, says Chan.

Owner of the fastest KO in the company’s history, Chan made headlines when he flattened Alejandro “Pato” Martínez at BRAVE 14, held in Tangier, Morocco, in only 29 seconds to set the record, and is now looking for another KO victory against Brazil’s Mafra. He hopes to add Leonardo to his list of KO’s and has a strong prediction for their bout.

“I like Leonardo’s style, because he’s very aggressive. The fans want to see this kind of fight, it will be very exciting. He has his strengths, but I also know his flaws. So when he makes a mistake, it will be over fast. I predict a first-round KO, but I also see the fight going to the second or third rounds. Either way, he’s going to sleep”, predicts Djamil.

BRAVE 25 marks the fourth time the fastest-growing MMA promotion in the world travels to Brazil, as the explosive show will be headlined by a Lightweight world title bout between defending champion Luan “Miau” Santiago and top contender Cleiton “Predator” Silva.
