UFC 230 Weigh-In Review
By Myles Hutton
All but 2 fighters made weight for their upcoming fights at UFC 230, live on Pay Per View, at the “World’s Most Famous Arena” Madison Square Garden.
Both Brian ‘Boom’ Kelleher and Sijara Eubanks hit the scales a pound too heavy this morning at the official weigh in. Both fighters have respectively missed weight on previous occasions, with Kelleher losing his Ring of Combat Bantamweight Title after failing to make-weight vs Julio Arce, who is also fighting at UFC 230.
As expected, both fights will go ahead on Saturday night, with Kelleher scheduled to fight Montel Jackson on short notice, and Eubanks going to war with Roxanne Modafferi in the Women’s Flyweight Division.
Also, another piece of surprising news is that Jared Cannonier (10-4), made weight for his Middleweight bout vs David Branch. Cannonier, took the fight on very short notice and made weight with ease for his Middleweight debut, after moving down from Light Heavyweight.
