Tyson Fury: Much To Prove
One look at boxing’s world heavyweight rankings, should tell you that the return of Tyson Fury should be welcomed. Outside of the big two, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, what is there, few would argue that Fury brings something different to the mix.
Boxing needs Fury, and I suspect Fury needs boxing.

Fury is needed, and with Joshua and Wilder currently involved in that thing we call boxing politics, Fury could very well be in the right place at the right time.
If as expected Fury comes through his comeback win on Saturday in Manchester, the phone will ring, fights with either Joshua, Wilder or even Tony Bellew could soon be on the horizon.

The much maligned opponent for Saturday should prove no trouble, personally I have no issue with it Fury needs to shed the rust and work his way back, but after that we need more.
The one big win Fury had on his last visit to the squared circle, deserves all the praise it received, but it is just the one big win, to be considered more than say a Buster Douglas or a Leon Spinks, there is still much to prove.
Frank Warren knows the game better than most, the public won’t buy much more of the same after Saturday. Warren also knows one punch can change everything, especially in the heavyweight division, sometimes you need to make the big fights, before that one punch ruins all the best laid plans, Joshua and Wilder need to be mindful of that also.
I am glad Fury is back, he certainly brightens up the sport, how far he can go in his comeback time will tell, but it certainly won’t be dull finding out.
