The FightPost Prospect of the Year: Tiah-Mai Ayton

Out of all the awards for 2025, probably the easiest decision to reach was awarding Tiah-Mai Ayton the FightPost prospect of the year award. Despite some incredibly strong competition from the likes of Hannah Robinson and Gemma Richardson, Ayton stands out as not only the best prospect in the country, but in her sport period.

Ayton announced herself in the professional ranks this year with a series of demolition performances that have many already proclaiming her as a future superstar. In truth, it’s difficult to argue with that assessment.

At 19, Ayton is seemingly heading into a golden future. World titles look guaranteed. The only question might be just how many she wins. Ayton told me in May that she wants to be a world champion in three years time. It will probably arrive even sooner than that.

Managed by Brian Peters and promoted by Eddie Hearn, Ayton turned professional after an unbeaten twenty-one fight amateur career, which included winning the World U19 Championships in 2024.

“Tiah-Mai Ayton is destined to become the next superstar of women’s boxing,” Hearn said when he announced the signing of Ayton in May. Hearn signed the blue-chip prospect after witnessing just one solitary sparring session with Skye Nicolson. The following month, Ayton impressively dismantled Sara Orszagi in three rounds in Birmingham on her professional debut. The show was very much on the road.

Ayton followed that with three more wins. All inside the distance. Earlier this month in London, the tough Brazilian Ana Karla Vaz De Moraes, who took Francesca Hennessy the full eight rounds, was taken apart in just three rounds. Any lingering doubters would have been swayed by the manner of that victory. Even just seven months into the world of professional boxing, Ayton looks like a frighteningly exciting prospect.

Honourable Mention: Hannah Robinson and Gemma Richardson
