Maiseyrose Courtney Returns Tonight At The York Hall
The long, frustrating wait for some ring time ends tonight for Maiseyrose Courtney. An extended injury-related nine-month absence will draw to a close this evening at the York Hall, and the talented Courtney will hope 2026 brings far more activity.
Courtney gets headline status tonight against Evelin Camporeale, and the talented flyweight can hopefully look forward to a big twelve months after a period of time that has seen her career locked in stagnation since losing her unbeaten record to Jasmina Zapotoczna in 2024.

Two low-key victories, the last in January, a six-round points victory over Jasmina Nad, before injury stopped the rebuild in its tracks. But if, as expected, Courtney moves her resume to 9-1 tonight, the following months are of much promise.
Lauren Pain and Megan Redstall will soon meet for the vacant Commonwealth bantamweight bauble, and Courtney has one eye on the winner of that. Shannon Ryan beat Chloe Watson last Saturday, and Ryan is a possible option for Courtney as well. A fight with Nicola Hopewell, who has Commonwealth and IBO baubles to her name, has long been on the radar of Courtney. Despite that defeat to Ryan last weekend, Chloe Watson and Courtney would still be a fight of intrigue. It could, in many ways, tick enough boxes to satisfy both parties.
The options are plentiful, and Maiseyrose Courtney shouldn’t be in a state of limbo much longer. A fighter who always had a touch of class about her.
