Molly McCann Stops Kate Radomska On Her Professional Debut

Molly McCann Stops Kate Radomska On Her Professional Debut

It was a near perfect start for Molly McCann on her professional debut. On her return to her old sport, the former UFC star stopped Kate Radomska in the 6th and final round at Windsor Park in Belfast.

The Radomska corner had seen enough with their fighter taking heavy shots, and the towel was thrown in at the 1.21 point of the pivotal 6th round.

McCann was in command throughout the six rounds of their super-bantamweight contest. The Liverpool fan-favourite briefly threatened the stoppage in the 2nd round, and a big right to the side of her opponents head dropped Radomska in the 5th round. The final round stoppage was the icing on the cake of her successful re-entry into boxing.

Radomska was tough but outgunned, and McCann was way too much for her. If you want to be super critical, McCann was probably loading up on her shots a little, and the constant switching of stance was at times overused and unnecessary. But McCann settled more into a rhythm as the fight progressed. A more than satisfactory start to her boxing journey.

Talk of world titles are somewhat premature, but you can easily see McCann being fast-tracked into the title picture at some point in 2026. The former ABA champion will have much tougher nights ahead of her, but what she showed against Radomska was encouraging. A promising start, and for now, that’s all you can ask.
