Hannah Robinson vs. Georgia Klein: Perfect Matchmaking
For Hannah Robinson, activity is key. The former two-time National Champion turned professional in 2024. Only two fights filled her resume. A somewhat disappointing return for a fighter who has dreams of world titles. Robinson made changes to her inner circle, and phase two of her professional career looks like being far more fruitful.
Robinson had fight number three in April, a six-round points victory over the Argentinian import Erica Juana Gabriela Alvarez.

The former amateur star returns this weekend in a clash of unbeaten prospects. Georgia Klein is next up for Robinson. Unbeaten in two fights, Klein will almost certainly be the toughest test to date for Robinson. She will come with plenty of ambition herself. Klein will come to win, and that should make for an entertaining spectacle at the Eston Leisure Centre, Middlesbrough, on Saturday night. Both are probably more accustomed to their opponents having survival at the forefront of their minds rather than any realistic hopes of victory. The change of mindset should bring out the best of both fighters.
Robinson says of her fight this weekend, “These are the fights that I need to get better. I think I’ll get the opportunity to showcase what I can do more against someone who can box and comes to win.” Encouraging words that say plenty. Too many prospects are seemingly content to build their resumes, fighting overmatched opponents and learning very little in the process.
But her opponent is equally excited about the challenge that Robinson will bring. A confident Klein told FightPost, “The fight is massively important, I’m persistent in getting my name out there more and more. I’m going to win this one and then move on to fighting for titles. I’m buzzing for the step up, it’s going to be my toughest test yet, but I’m ready and raring to go for it. I feel like I was ready to move to six rounds, and I grabbed this opportunity with both hands. I can’t wait. I just hope I’m not being underestimated, I’m not called the ‘Hammer’ for no reason.”
Robinson and Klein deserve immense credit for taking the fight. Both could have gone down a far safer route. The winner will undoubtedly move on. The loser will come again. It’s the type of fight that doesn’t happen often enough in boxing. It’s just perfect matchmaking.
