Kate McLaren: “I love working on self development and looking at how far I have come and what I am still yet working towards achieving.”
The FightPost Ten: Kate McLaren
First Ever Memory:
I’m riding my first ever bike with my grandad.
First Ever Boxing Memory:
Running in the rain and all my prep for my first boxing fight.
What Has Boxing Given You:
So much. Self-love, confidence, happiness, purpose, dive, true friendships, and great support.
Where Would You Be Without Boxing:
Probably still stuck in a 9 – 5 working in recruitment and paying off a mortgage.
Biggest Regret In Life:
No regrets! Everything happened in the right place, right time.

The Thing You Are Most Proud Of:
My career, who I am, and what I stand for today.
Who Inspires You The Most & Why:
Myself! I love working on self development and looking at how far I have come and what I am still yet working towards achieving.
Where’s Your Happy Place:
The gym.
What One Thing Would You Change To Make The Sport Better:
EQUALITY! Let’s close that pay gap and prove that women can put on incredible shows, just like Katie Taylor & Amanda Serrano have.
How Do You See Your Life After Boxing:
This is a tricky one. In all honesty, I think it’s going to be a tough transition for me, but I have so many great projects I still want to be working on. One of them being the NFP charity I founded back in 2022, called It’s Her Foundation.
