Nicola Hopewell: “I want an active 2024, and everyone seems to be getting fight dates, but I’m still waiting.”
The FightPost Ten: Nicola Hopewell
First Ever Memory:
Knocking my tooth out on the radiator when I was two years old. I had heard the ice cream van and climbed onto the sofa, but I fell.
First Ever Boxing Memory:
Winning my first amateur fight and stopping the girl in the 3rd round.
What Has Boxing Given You:
Dreams and goals to achieve.
Where Would You Be Without Boxing:
Working a full-time job with no goals or dreams.
Biggest Regret In Life:
Not boxing earlier in life and not turning professional with the British Boxing Board of Control earlier.
The Thing You Are Most Proud Of:
Standing up for myself and moving away from my old gym to pursue my boxing dreams.
Who Inspires You The Most & Why:
In boxing Katie Taylor. She’s the woman in boxing we all look up to. She sells out main events and has had so many achievements.
Where’s Your Happy Place:
Either in the gym or somewhere like the Peak District.

What One Thing Would You Change To Make The Sport Better:
Equal opportunities, more boxing shows. I want an active 2024, and everyone seems to be getting fight dates, but I’m still waiting.
How Do You See Your Life After Boxing:
I’d love to be part of the sport, probably a trainer, or use my sports massage therapy to treat boxers.
