UFC 250: Nunes Dominates Spencer
No crowd, but it was about the only thing UFC 250 lacked.
The Apex complex in Las Vegas played host to the latest UFC behind closed doors offering. We witnessed another performance of absolute dominance by Amanda Nunes. The bantamweight division ignited further with stand out performances from Cody Garbrandt and Aljamain Sterling.
Nunes defended her UFC featherweight title against the incredibly brave Felicia Spencer. It stayed just the right side of comfortable viewing, but an argument could have been made to pull Spencer out at the end of the 4th round, where the bell undoubtedly saved her.
Nunes seems to have few challengers in either division going forward, and you have to wonder just who will pose a serious challenge to her.
Sterling made very quick work of Cory Sandhagen and looks certain to have booked himself a title opportunity later this year.
Garbrandt showed the patience he has lacked of late, and looks a fighter reborn. The former bantamweight champion looked a contender once again, and the manner of his victory was the perfect way to put the rest of the division on notice.
