Frankenstein’s Boxer: The Perfect Fighting Monster

Frankenstein’s Boxer: The Perfect Fighting Monster

By Henry Walter

Today is Halloween, so I thought I would assemble the perfect boxer to mark it, using boxers from the present and past.

For the head of my boxer I decided on Muhammad Ali’s brain and cast iron jaw. Ali was an intelligent fighter capable of thinking on his feet and adapting to any style. He often out-thought his opponents just as much as he out-fought them. His iron chin also allowed him to take seemingly limitless punishment.

For the torso of my body I went for the rock solid abs possessed by Nigel Benn. Benn always turned up to his fights in perfect condition. His body at times looked as though it was sculptered from stone and his stamina helped him to legendary wins over the Likes of Chris Eubank and Gerald McClellan.

I picked Roy Jones’ left arm as Jones possessed an incredible left hook. It could be argued to Jones’ lightning left was the reason for much of his success during his long light-heavyweight reign. Who can forget his incredible left hook KO of Montell Griffin?

For the right arm I went with Lennox Lewis. Lewis’ destructive right helped him wreak havoc in the heavyweight division and was used to great effect to put away the likes of Mike Tyson and Hasim Rahman.

For the legs I again went with Ali. In his prime he literally danced around his opponents. It was his wonderful footwork that allowed him to glide out of trouble and gave him one of the best defences even seen in a boxing ring. As a young fighter he coined the phrase:
“Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee!” The clever rhyme was a very apt description of himself.

I believe this creation would be a virtually perfect fighter, if it were fully in proportion!
