Carr Racing Towards Maiden Title in Kent
Undefeated super-featherweight Danny Carr is elated with the news he’ll fight for the Southern Area title in Maidstone on November 3.
The popular ‘Cannon’ (10-0-1, 4 KOs) faces another unbeaten fighter in Lewis Adams (8-0, 1 KO) on the #MTKFightNight and is more than ready to shine for both his home supporters and those tuning in on iFL TV from across the world.
Carr said: “I’ve wanted this for a very long time now and I’m looking forward to getting in there and doing the job.
“I don’t know a great deal about Lewis Adams but he looks a nice boxer and has actually fought one of my mates before, so I’m interested to get in there because he fought my mate!
“I believe in getting what you want if you stay on the right path. My life isn’t just boxing – I have a business to run and I also work in the city – so for me to reach this target has taken me a bit longer than I’d have liked.
“Now it’s come, it’s come at the perfect time. It’s a great opportunity for me to win my first belt and Maidstone is very close to where I live.
“It’s also great to be on the same bill as Shaquille Day, who’s a friend of mine. It’s an intimate venue and I believe it’s going to be a great atmosphere in there.”
Along with the Southern Area title clash between Carr and Adams at 130lbs, Day defends the welterweight crown against Jez Smith with a host of fighters such as Martin McDonagh, Bradley Haxell, James Hawley, Jack Ewbank and more also on the bill.
