Campbell vs Lomachenko Press Conference Quotes

Eddie Hearn hosted a press conference yesterday in London to formally announce the upcoming lightweight title fight between Britain’s Luke Campbell and the reigning world champion Vasyl Lomachenko.
Hearn lauded Campbell as the greatest amateur Britain has ever produced and claimed he has every chance of pulling of a surprise victory against the recognised pound for pound number one.
Campbell’s trainer, Shane Mcguigan, was unable to attend the conference due to a prior engagement but former world champion George Groves represented Team Campbell and was full of praise for their charge.
“We believe Campbell can win it, it’s not a secret, he is one of the best fighters Britain has ever produced.”

Lomachenko seemed relaxed as always and was a man off few words declaring:
“I don’t wanna talk too much. August you will see.”
Before adding:
“He’s bigger and he’s smart but I never think about losing.”
when pressed by Hearn.
Lomachenko’s manager Egis Kilmas emphasized his fighter’s excitement about fighting in Britain.
“People say Madison Square Garden in New York is the home of boxing but for us no. Britain is the home of boxing. The fans are so knowledgeable and passionate here.
The fight will take place at the 02 and is set to be one of the biggest boxing events of the year.
