Pernell Whitaker RIP
The great Pernell Whitaker has sadly passed away after being hit by a car on Sunday night.
Whitaker was only 55 and died as a result of his injuries sustained in the incident.
After winning Olympic gold in 1984, Whitaker would go onto win world titles in multiple weight divisions, and is undoubtedly one of the best lightweights of all time.
Whitaker one of the greatest ever defensive fighters, boxed as a professional from 1984 through to 2001.
He finished with an outstanding record of 40-4-1 with one no contest, 3 of those defeats came in his last 4 fights.
