FightPost Team Predictions: Josh Warrington vs Kid Galahad

FightPost Team Predictions:

Josh Warrington vs Kid Galahad

By Josh Wooler

Tonight will see Josh Warrington defend his IBF Featherweight crown in his home city of Leeds against Sheffield’s Kid Galahad.
Warrington (28-0, 6KO) enters the fight as the favourite and rightly so after impressive wins over Lee Selby and Carl Frampton that, in my opinion, made him the stand out British fighter of 2018.

Whilst Galahad (26-0, 15KO) can’t boast about having those kinds of names on his record, his tricky southpaw style should guarantee a difficult night’s work for his Yorkshire rival.

The Ingle-schooled Galahad will look to maintain the distance and keep the fight at range to prevent Warrington getting inside and unleashing a flurry of punches which has now become his trademark.

I have picked against Warrington in both of his last two contests and I was surprised by his impressive wins over Selby and Frampton and as a result I can’t look past the champion making a successful defence of his title.

I also think that the fight will go the distance as despite Frampton claiming Warrington’s power is real, history and his record would suggest otherwise.
