Holloway & Edgar Meet at UFC 240.
In a story first reported by ESPN, contracts have been verbally agreed which would see Frankie Edgar challenge Max Holloway for the UFC featherweight title at UFC 240 on July 27th.
The fight will mark a return to featherweight after a losing effort against Dustin Poirier for the interim lightweight title at UFC 236, which snapped his 13 fight winning streak.
Holloway (20-4) and Edgar (23-6-1) have been scheduled to meet twice before, at UFC 218 and UFC 222, both fights falling through due to injury.
UFC 240 takes place in Edmonton, Alberta.
