Bellingham Fighting Fit after Injury
Alex Bellingham is ready to put his injury woes behind him when he fights on the packed #MTKFightNight event at the Brentwood Centre live on iFL TV this Saturday.
Bellingham (1-0) had a successful debut in December, but then had to miss a few months due to a thumb injury. He’s now fully recovered from that set-back, and is excited to return to action.
Bellingham said: “I’m feeling confident and training is going well. I’ve been out with a thumb injury after suffering three fractures and a split cartilage, but now I’m back on track forward to getting in there.
“The injury was frustrating, but everything happens for a reason. This is my second fight after my debut and I think there is a bit more pressure now as I have to carry on building and maintaining the winning streak.
“I was happy with my debut. A win is a win and I was pleased with the performance, but that was a bit do or die. If you lose your debut then you’re probably finished before you’ve even started, but now there is added pressure to make sure I’m better than I was on my debut.”
Bellingham is part of a packed #MTKFightNight event on Saturday, which also features a number of exciting stars, including Liam Walsh, Danny Dignum, Shaquille Day, Liam Conroy, DP Carr, Harlem Eubank and many more.
