The American heavyweight Jarrell Miller has been issued with a six-month suspension by the WBA after failing three voluntary drugs tests.

Miller tested positive for HGH, GH-1516 and EPO and the failed tests cost him a shot at Anthony Joshua for his world heavyweight titles.

Initial denials were met with a belated admission, which only came when there was nowhere else to go.

Until boxing gets serious about drugs in the sport nothing will change. The noble art isn’t so noble at times.
