Michael Elliott Setting High Expectations
Michael Elliott is hoping the pressure he is putting on himself to succeed will pay off as he prepares to return to the ring at York Hall on Friday.
Elliott (1-0) is part of a packed bill live on iFL TV, and he is confident the hard work he has been producing in the gym will lead to him reaching the heights he is dreaming of.
He said: “I’m putting a lot of expectations on myself, but I’ve worked day in day out for this and I’m planning on putting on a strong performance.
“I’m more composed and a lot calmer for this fight, and to be able to once again box at an iconic place like York Hall is great. It’s the home of boxing, so to have regular fights there is a dream.
“Training has gone unbelievable and I’m constantly learning in the gym. I’m in a good place and I have to sometimes pinch myself to realise how well this camp has gone. Training alongside some great guys makes me more hungry and determined.
“I plan on going from strength to strength throughout my whole career, and I can’t wait to get in there and show everybody what I am capable of.”
The show at York Hall on Friday features Siar Ozgul challenging Sam Antwi for the Southern Area title, plus a packed undercard including the likes of Chantelle Cameron, Viktor Kotochigov, Dan Azeez and many more.
