Molly McCann Returns to Face Ariane Lipski
When the UFC came to Liverpool last May it looked the perfect setting for Liverpool’s own Molly McCann.
It ended in heartbreak and self-doubt but the defeat would eventually lead to a newer improved version of the former Cage Warriors flyweight champion.
McCann went away, spent the time to round her skills and Priscila Cachoeira was the victim of all the hard work.
For McCann (8-2) even a broken orbital couldn’t deny her as she rebounded in typical McCann style to create her own slice of history.
In a quicker turnaround than expected McCann will look to build on her momentum and edge closer to the rankings when she meets Ariane Lipski in June.
Lipski (11-4) was on the losing end of a decision in her UFC debut in January, dropping a points verdict to Joanne Calderwood.
The two flyweights will clash on June 22 when the UFC returns to Greenville, Carolina.
