By The Boxing Kid
Dubliner Francy Luzoho has admitted he wants to move to title conte ntion very soon as he prepares to take on Martin Quinn at the National Centre this weekend.
The 23-year-old has a growing reputation on the Emerald Isle after an impressive debut against the previously unbeaten Sam Jones, finishing him within the distance back in the summer.
Having previously claimed he wanted to have the best debut in Irish boxing history prior to his bout with Jones, he went on to win best debut of 2018 awarded by Irish boxing writers.
And Luzoho, who originally hails from the democratic of Congo, is looking to move himself up the domestic rankings this year.
He said: “I said when I turned over with Assasin that I wasn’t in the game to just fight knock over jobs and that’s why I fought Jones on my debut.
“This time we face another opponent with a winning record, but everything has been perfect in the build up like last time, but now I get the chance to fight on TV across Ireland.
“I saw Martin at the press conference I said to him you’ve made a mistake taking this fight cos trust me I am looking to put on a show on Saturday.
“When I am getting up to do my runs, when I am dieting cutting that last bit of weight in the sauna – no one is doing it with me. So I’m in boxing for me and me alone.
“I’ll get through this fight, then sit down with my team and we’ll discuss what’s next but I need titles. I am in secure mine and my families future.
