Conor McGregor Announces His Retirement
It looks like Conor McGregor the biggest draw in UFC history will fight no more.
McGregor said this on his social media:
“Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as ‘Mixed Martial Art’ today.
“I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
“I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!”
The former two-weight UFC champion last fought at UFC 229 and suffered a defeat in his grudge match with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
McGregor had been targeting a return in July but this surprise announcement seems to end any hopes of one last run for McGregor.
