UFC 236: Holloway vs Poirier 

UFC 236 will now have two interim title fights on the card.

Following the announcement that Kelvin Gastelum will fight Israel Adesanya for the interim middleweight title, Max Holloway will rematch Dustin Poirier for the interim lightweight title.

With Khabib Nurmagomedov currently suspended and Tony Ferguson apparently turning down the fight, the UFC have decided to match the current featherweight champion with Poirier.

Holloway (20-4) and Poirier (24-5 1NC) first met in 2012 at UFC 143, and Holloway will be looking to reverse one of the 3 defeats on his record.
