Ben Askren & Demetrious Johnson Thoughts:
If as is widely being reported Demetrious Johnson leaves the UFC in a trade deal with Ben Askren and ONE Championship it certainly raises a lot of questions.
Johnson certainly isn’t a massive draw, but it still seems strange that the UFC is willing to let go one of the greatest ever MMA fighters.
The entire UFC flyweight division now looks at serious risk.
Ben Askren on the other hand is a long overdue signing for the UFC. Potential matches with GSP or even Khabib Nurmagomedov adds a new dimension to the UFC roster.
Askren has long been considered one of the best fighters not in the UFC, and finally we get to see how good he really is.
