Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2: Talks At An Advanced Stage

I was very skeptical when the news first came out that Floyd Mayweather will make yet another return to the ring to face off against Manny Pacquiao in a rematch of their 2015 meeting.

But it is being reported that talks are indeed at an advanced stage with provisional dates of December 1st or 8th being mentioned.

Even if the fight does get made, and I still have my doubts, what will the interest be. The first meeting failed to live up to the hype, Mayweather dominated to claim a comfortable points win.

Mayweather last fought in August last year against MMA star Conor McGregor and before that the widely maligned fight with the undeserving Andre Berto.

Have the public grown tired of the never ending comebacks of Mayweather, has his time passed in more ways than one.

Amir Khan placed Pacquiao at the top of his hit list, if Mayweather Pacquiao 2 does happen, surely that leaves Khan with nowhere to go but Kell Brook.

The remaining months of 2018 look like being very expensive for boxing fans, big PPV fights are seemingly being announced daily.
