Big Write Hook: The New Kid on the Block
In the mid eighties I looked forward to my reading material which unlike many teenagers it was boxing related. Boxing News was my weekly dose to catch up with the latest results from around the world, add in the American offerings of the likes of The Ring and KO magazine and my thirst, obsession even, was satisfied.
Today of course is a different world, thanks to the Internet in it’s many forms, results and news are pretty much instant, the need for printed publications is very much reduced.
To survive publications need to be different, and the new kid on the block, does that.
The first edition of Big Write Up has just been released, and it’s definitely worth £4.50 of your money. You get 59 pages of original content from experienced and new writers not to mention a modern original look which adds to the experience.
Call me old fashioned, or just old, but I still like a magazine or a book in my hand, only recently returning to my beloved Boxing News in it’s paper format. Big Write Hook is a welcome addition to the ranks, and even in a world of podcasts and social media, there is still a little room for the likes of Big Write Hook.
