I feel like Cody in the last fight brought too many emotions into the octagon and often fell for what TJ was looking to set up. Cody managed his emotions perfectly with Cruz when he won the title and you could really see the difference in his fighting, he was too wound up.

The key for Cody in this fight I feel is that he needs to close the distance with TJ and not give TJ the room and the time he needs to do his best work, movement for TJ is his key to victory.

With TJ I believe he goes into this bout with more confidence than last time, and why shouldn’t he? He worked wonders with feints such as the short jabs and low kicks to really put the pressure on Cody in their last bout.

Apart from the late knock down where he got clipped, TJ looked sharp and a lot more relaxed.

Cody has the best KO rate in the division’s history and TJ has the most significant strikes in the division also so I would be surprised if this fight doesn’t deliver!

While I think it’s a genuine 50/50 fight I believe Cody gets the win back which will set up the trilogy in the near future, an immediate rematch might be a bit of a stretch when there are other contenders waiting patiently for their shot at UFC gold, but they will meet for a third time at some point, of that I am certain.
