Unbeaten SBG Prospect Kiefer Crosbie Joins Team Mates James Gallagher and Dillon Danis at Bellator
By Dan McConnell
Former BAMMA unbeaten welterweight prospect Kiefer ‘Big Daddy’ Crosbie becomes the latest Irish talent to agree terms to fight under the Bellator banner.
The SBG prospect Crosbie (4-0) is coming off a huge TKO win over Josh Plant at BAMMA 35 in Dublin’s 3 Arena where team-mate Conor McGregor was in attendance. Crosbie is known for his incredible striking ability and has finished all four of his last professional mixed martial arts fights with wins over Plant, Waldemar Cichy, Conor Riordan and Kieth McCabe.
This news comes days after another SBG fighter Richard Kiely was snapped up by the promotion. Crosbie will now join SBG team-mates James Gallagher, Charlie Ward, Dillon Danis, Brian Moore and Sinead Kavanagh to Bellator where he will look to add a spark to their welterweight division.
Bellator have set their sights on growing the UK and Irish markets and planned to increase viewership as well as signing the best talent from the Irish MMA scene. Former UFC Lightweight fighter Norman Parke tops the bill as the highest profile fighter from the region to sign with the organisation.
There has been recent hype and suggestion from Bellator’s Patricio and Patricky Freire brothers who want a Pitbull v SBG Ireland showdown. The Freire’s wants a team vs team lineup of fights for a possible Bellator show in Ireland. These recent signings add fuel to that fire.
