Joshua/Wilder Looks Off:
The much-anticipated heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder looks off, at least for now.

The WBA have finally lost patience it seems with the seemingly never-ending talks to get the Joshua/Wilder deal over the line. Joshua the WBA champion has been ordered to sign a deal within 24 hours to fight his mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin.
The WBA granted Joshua an extra month to get a deal done with Wilder, and now with no deal yet signed, they are forcing the hand of their champion.
Povetkin 38, is coming off a win over David Price on the Joshua/Parker undercard in March and has a 34-1 record.
While there is always the chance that the Wilder deal might finally get signed, it looks as though its far more likely Joshua will meet Povetkin in September and the fight most boxing fans want to see will have to wait until 2019.
