Bellator Announces Welterweight Grand Prix

It is no secret that Bellator has an abundance of welterweight talent at their disposal. With their recent announcement of a welterweight grand prix, fans will get to see who is at the top of that heap.
Bellator first announced a heavyweight grand prix consisting of the promotions top heavyweights, and some of it’s top light heavyweight talent.
Bellator have now revealed that another tournament will take place later this year, presumably to challenge for a shot at Rory MacDonald’s 170lb title, MacDonald will not take part in the tournament.
The tournament will consist of top fighters such as Paul Daley, Michael Page, Douglas Lima, and Andrey Koreshkov. Brackets are yet to be in place.
The grand prix will begin on September, 29, 2018 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
