Can Nick Newell shock the MMA world?

One of the more inspiring stories going into the 2nd season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series is that of Nick Newell.
Newell (14-1) was born with a congenital amputation of his left arm, ending just below his elbow. Despite the condition, Newell began wrestling at an early age then began to delve into the sport of MMA. That decision would be one that changed his life.
After showing his extensive skill set in his MMA career so far, fans and fighters alike have campaigned for Newell to have a shot at the UFC. While Dana White himself might have been somewhat hesitant to even acknowledge Newell at first, eventuality came into play.
Dana White and Newell then met in person discussing Newell’s fighting future, in the end they had agreed on letting Newell compete on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series where he will have quite possibly the biggest fight of his life.
The episode will air on July 24th, Newell’s opponent is TBA.
