Molly McCann: Self Reflection
Sometimes in life to be a winner you need to learn how to lose, and more importantly why you lost. We can all make excuses, lie to ourselves and just carry on as if nothing is wrong, honest self-reflection is usually the best medicine.

Molly McCann looks like someone who will learn from her recent “heart-breaking” loss at UFC Liverpool to Gillian Robertson. Despite starting the fight confidently and looking sharp on the feet, her lack of experience on the ground in comparison to her opponent would prove to be her downfall.
McCann despite being devastated in losing in front her hometown fans hasn’t gone into hiding, and is not making any excuses for her defeat.
Every MMA fighter will probably lose at some point in their career and McCann after her recent winning streak is facing up to that reality now.
Conor McGregor when he turned to MMA from boxing thought he could knock out everyone with his left hand and didn’t need to spend much time on his ground game, Joe Duffy made him think again.
McCann one of the most brutally honest and level headed fighters you could wish to meet, understands that very same point. McCann after a well-earned rest will then focus more on her ground game for the next 3-4 months so she is more comfortable on the ground and can legitimately compete with black belts. McCann knows she needs to have an elite all round game to compete in her new home the UFC and she is taking the steps needed to get there.
Despite her recent loss only a fool would rule out McCann proving her doubters wrong, I have a feeling the ride is far from over.
