No UK TV For Santa Cruz
UK fight fans have a lot to look forward to this weekend, the stacked to the rafters UFC 225, the return of Tyson Fury, and Terrence Crawford trying to win the WBO welterweight title from Jeff Horn.
Despite all the action on our screens, UK fans will still miss out on some top quality action because there is no UK coverage of the rematch between Leo Santa Cruz and Abner Mares for the WBA featherweight title. Also on the bill is Jermell Charlo defending his WBC super welterweight title against Austin Trout.
Santa Cruz who Carl Frampton desperately wants a 3rd crack at, defends against previous victim Mares.
Santa Cruz (34-1-1) beat Mares (31-2-1) in August of 2015 on a majority decision in a highly entertaining fight, but is heavily favoured to repeat his win this Saturday.
It’s a shame fans UK won’t get to see the fight, as its perhaps the best pure fight of this weekends boxing action.
