CM Punk Tries Again
When you come from the make-believe world of the WWE, when you get to make your MMA pro debut on the biggest platform out there, and when that debut ends in humiliation, respect from the MMA hardcore won’t come easy.
But this weekend at UFC 225 in Chicago, CM Punk tries again.

Mikey Gall was a step too far, he was quite a few steps too far if we are brutally honest, but fellow 0-1 fighter Mike Jackson looks a far more realistic test for the ex WWE star.
If his head coach is to be believed, Punk is a 200% better fighter than he was 2 years ago, quite frankly he needs to be.
Should be in the UFC, of course he shouldn’t, but he has the name, he has the fan base and his inclusion on the PPV card, will mean a few more people buy the PPV, or that is the hope anyway.
Mike Jackson himself mauled by Gall, will look to spoil the party, and Punk knows another defeat and the story ends, but he is as much an unknown quantity as Punk.
The Punk journey has interest, the hardcore won’t agree of course, but I for one thinks he deserves that respect for giving the sport another go after his debut went so badly wrong.
But on Saturday, Punk knows he’s got to get the job done, the odds are saying he loses again, otherwise the denials about a pro wrestling return may have to be looked at again.
