Bellator 200 Airing Live for UK Fans
By Dan McConnell
Bellator’s biggest and probably it’s most important card to date, is just hours away from taking place at London’s SSE Arena Wembley.
For the first time in Bellator history, fight fans in the UK will be able to watch the event live.
Bellator 200 will air live on YouTube at 8PM BST and 5 Spike from 9pm BST in the UK. Fans won’t get the pre-lim fights but at least they can watch the main card live at these times.
Bellator have just signed a multi-million dollar deal with Paramount Pictures in the USA but unfortunately UK fight fans haven’t been included in this television deal. If this card sells well for the UK audience there is no doubt Bellator will have to make the broadcasts more accessible to this market, rather than in most cases a week long delay to see the fights.
The UK MMA scene is certainly booming more than ever which Bellator do recognise with plenty of UK-based fighters on this card and the fact London was selected to hold this milestone event.
Former UFC Light-Heavyweight veteran Phil ‘Mr Wonderful’ Davis will open the main card AT 8PM against London-born Linton Vassell.
After that Kate Jackson will face the unbeaten 5-0 hot-prospect Anastasia Yankova in the Women’s Flyweight division.
Carl Noon will face former BAMMA Middleweight Champion Mike Shipman, these fights will starts on 5 Spike at 9PM.

Former Geordie Shore reality star Aaron ‘The Joker’ Chalmers faces Ash Griffiths. Chalmers hopes to improve his record of 3-0 with a huge win in his first appearance under the Bellator banner.
The co-main event features unbeaten Michael ‘Venom’ Page who returns from his boxing hiatus to faces David ‘Caveman’ Rickels. He is hoping to add another highlight reel finish to his collection and secure a Bellator Welterweight title shot.

The main-event of the evening pips newly signed former UFC fighter and Dream Light-Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi, against current Bellator Middleweight Champion Rafael Carvalho who is on a 14 fight win streak.
