Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua getting closer?
By Dan McConnell
The fight that the boxing world has been hotly-anticipating for quite sometime, but is it getting any closer to being signed?
Negotiations to agree an undisputed Heavyweight title fight between the unbeaten champions ramped up last week when undefeated WBC heavyweight title holder Deontay Wilder unofficially offered IBF, WBA and WBO Champion Joshua $50million to fight.
Take into consideration the Mayweather Paccquiao gate was reported at $40 million and McGregor Mayweather was reported at both fighters earning $50 million each. This will be a huge payday for both men.
Wilder who has a 40-0 knockout record is coming off a win over Cuban Luis Ortiz, who has recently ramped up the hype for the fight and put the ball in Joshua’s court.

There is some dispute where the fight will take place. Joshua who is coming off an impressive victory over former WBO Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker brought his career up a notch while adding another belt to his arsenal.

Former undisputed Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko, mostly fought out of his back yard in Germany, will Joshua follow the same path?
Wilder has been outspoken, the two have went back and forward for quite sometime. Wilder has said that to be known around the boxing world and not just UK Joshua will have to agree to fight in Las Vegas, the heart-land of sports entertainment and Boxing.
IBF, WBA and WBO champion Joshua is also in discussions with other options, should a deal to unify belts with WBC holder Wilder not come to fruition.
Alexander Povetkin is the mandatory challenger to Joshua’s WBA belt, while unbeaten Jarrell Miller has been suggested as an opponent to welcome Joshua to America for the first time.
Povetkin, whose only defeat in 35 fights was to Wladimir Klitschko five years ago is expecting to get the nod to challenge Joshua next before the Heavyweight unification bout will take place.
The saga continues…..
