By the Sword: Tommy Owens Promotions LTD
By Bryan Connolly
On May 19th, I will be attending my second ever show as part of the ringside press. Tommy Owens Promotional company is the biggest in Birmingham and has an exciting future after releasing a statement with a show on June 30th, but first he has one this weekend and one on the 19th May.
The show on the 19th is the one I will be focusing on, and has an array of debut fighters and undefeated fighters on the undercard. The main event will be for the vacant Midlands Area super welterweight title.
The boxers confirmed on the bill so far are all local fighters to Birmingham and the Midlands area.

Midlands Area Super Welterweight Title
Ryan Kelly vs Owen Jobburn

Ryan comes into this contest (10-1) with his only defeat coming against Adam Harper. Coming from Birmingham and fighting in his home city, Ryan will have the following from the crowd in attendance and will be the favourite to take the title.
Owen will come into this contest with a record of 4-2-1. In his last two fights Owen lost both on points, one being a three round contest and one being a four round contest. His form has taken a massive slump but his draw and one of his losses have come against undefeated opponents.
With Ryan having the experience of a ten round bout before you would give him the advantage but in a fight, as we know anything can happen.
It is going to be a great night of boxing and as like most of Tommy’s shows it will be at the Holte Suite at Villa Park. Like before I shall bring you photos and videos of the fights and I will strive to bring a couple of exclusive interviews as well.
